after leaving BKK, we stopped in Ratchaburi town to have lunch and then headed to Suanphung. Suanphung is one of the districts in Ratchburi, not so far from Thai-Burma border. we were going there to feed the sheep. my brother used to come there when he brought his customers on a tour. so, he had booked the house he used to stay. the house had pools for hot spring water in the front and the back. staying there we didn't need to use water heater as the water was hot at all times, even the one coming from flushing the toilet!
after checking in, we drove back to the resort called 'scenery'. we passed 2 resorts giving similar service; swiss valley and scenery. we picked scenery. there were nearly hundred of fat sheep for us to feed. we had to pay to feed them.. it's 40 baht for the entrance fee and a small buddle of veggies for them..
when the sheep saw us holding those veggies, they stormed us with hunger. they looked so fat but hungry at all times.. we were a bit surprised and excited being charged by them. the staff told us to hold those veggies high and walk to the center.. then the fun was started!!
py was very scared being charged by them..
but kla had so much fun running around being chased by those fat, puffy sheep..
we went back to the gate buying more veggies for them but we didn't feed them right away.. we let them chase us until both the sheep and us got tired.. then, we fed them...
..some photos around the (makeshift) sheep farm..
we left scenery to have dinner at 'ban tienhom' (scented candle home). the decoration was so hip with the oldies; toys, photos, household appliances, motorbikes.. anything they could find.. it's a nice place to visit. you can see what thai people used in the old day here..
they also make and sell scented candles with different shapes, sizes and figures..
time to have dinner. even the dishes and food containers, they served with the ones we used long time ago..
and even the toys, they kept and decorated it nicely..
we got home after our tummies were full. the foods were yummy. i highly recommend the place. it's worth your visit.
once getting back to the house, we soaked into the hot pool for 30 mins and then everyone retreated to their rooms. i, instead of sleeping, sat at the long wooden table scrapbooking. it was our last night of the trip and i had enough tickets to scrap.. after scrapbooking, i wrote some postcards to my dear friends. around mid-night, i retreated to my room and hit the sack.
next morning, everyone was back to the hot pool for one last time before heading back home.. even phun enjoyed the hot bath in his own way..
it was april 26th and my birthday.. i was given a gift by my sister-in-law and py volunteered to unwrap it for me. she gave me an indian styled, long sleeved shirt.. it's a bit big for me but i so love it!! thanks sis!!
we arrived home safe and sound at 10 pm.. thanks my bro for driving us safely. thanks dad for the minibus. thanks sis for the financial support. thanks everyone for joining and having fun together. everyone was tired but so happy.. stay tuned for our next trip!! (bc we are packing and unpacking family.. ;])
